What Clients Say

MMH 1:1 PROGRAM

"As a charity founder, life coach, and business owner I have worked with many mental health professionals over the last 10 years both professionally and personally. Dr. Erin has provided probably the best experience I’ve had so far, not just in terms of efficiency, but also tangible results... a rarity in the mental health field, which often just puts temporary band-aids on everything. Also, personally, Erin has a level of integrity, honesty and social EQ which is extremely rare, especially from scholars. If you get the chance to work with Erin, I would grab it with both arms. She is an expert of the highest order and a pleasure to work with. The results have been astounding, and it's only been a few weeks. If you're on the fence with trying Erin & ketogenic therapy. This is your call to jump over that fence right now. You won't regret it."

MMH 1:1 PROGRAM

I wouldn't have been able to implement ketogenic therapy on my own without the service. The program was simple and easy to follow, whereas I would've made many mistakes doing it on my own. The support also massively helped in actually following through.

I feel blessed to have heard Erin on a podcast, at a time when it was much needed. I like the intelligent kind and calm approach. This is along with extensive knowledge on both the physical and mental functions which means all questions are considered and explored. Id highly recommend the level of support given.

Can a Keto Diet Help People Suffering from Depression? - with Dr. Erin Bellamy

Research indicates that following a keto diet can be an effective form of metabolic treatment for depression, particularly atypical and treatment-resistant forms. Dr. Erin Bellamy has seen ketogenic therapy’s success through her online program Integrative Ketogenic Research and Therapies (ikrt.org), which helps patients implement a keto diet for mental health conditions and effectively coordinate with their prescriber and health care team for the best treatment outcomes. The length of time it takes to see improvements when following a ketogenic diet to treat mental health conditions can vary. In some cases, it can take time to alleviate symptoms of depression; Dr. Bellamy recommends continuing the diet for at least twelve weeks to gauge treatment outcomes. Dr. Erin Bellamy finished a PhD in psychology specializing in Ketogenic Diets & Depression from the University of East London. Her decision to pursue research on ketogenic diets for mental health dates back to 2016, before metabolic psychiatry started to emerge as a cohesive field that is growing exponentially. She is excited to see how quickly the field is evolving. Exploring Ketogenic Diets for Mental Health with Dr. Erin Bellamy - Ep. 117

LowCarbUSA co-founders Doug Reynolds and Pam Devine recently sat down with Dr. Erin Bellamy, a ketogenic specialist and metabolic health practitioner, for an illuminating podcast episode. Dr. Bellamy, who holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of East London and an MSc in psychiatric research from King’s College London, brings a wealth of experience in using ketogenic metabolic therapy to improve mental health. In the podcast, Erin emphasized the value of her accreditation as a Metabolic Health Practitioner (https://thesmhp.org/accreditation/) (MHP) through the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners (The SMHP™). She noted that prior to The SMHP, there was no international consensus on guidelines for therapeutic carbohydrate restriction or ethics in the field. She stressed the importance of having a governing body like The SMHP that works to establish clinical guidelines, ethics, and scope of practice. This helps ensure MHPs are providing safe and beneficial care to clients. She appreciates being part of a like-minded group of practitioners who have access to science backed information from a trusted organization. The 9th Annual San Diego Symposium for Metabolic Health will be held August 15-18. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge and interact with leading experts in metabolic health. This year’s symposium will feature a full day, Thursday, August 15th, dedicated to exploring the connection between mental health and metabolic disease.
